Maternity Lifestyle Sessions

$1200 weekdays, $1350 weekends

  • 1 hour shoot outside or at your home

  • 80+ hand-edited best images from set w/ high-res download

  • $300 deposit due at booking, with balance paid on shoot date.

Lifestyle Approach

The word lifestyle is a bit of a buzzword these days so let me explain. 😉 Lifestyle means I won't bring props or ask you to hold up your sonogram images. We’ll shoot somewhere that feels special to you, whether that’s outdoors or cozy at home. If you have older children, this session should feel like a regular family session, with some love given to the bump.

Flexible Timing

Maternity sessions typically happen sometime between weeks 34-38. Exact timing is a matter of personal preference, but I recommend finding that sweet spot when your belly is nice and round, yet you can still walk around without too much discomfort. We also don’t want to get too close to your EDD and end up missing the chance if baby comes early. 😳

Allow Everything

The shoot should feel relaxed, unhurried.I’ve found that keeping an attitude of just allowing whatever happens to be there, the more meaningful your photos will be. If our weather isn’t exactly what we expected or if your toddler is having a meltdown, we go with it. The best conditions for a photo session is one where everyone is says yes.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely! Babies don’t always arrive when they’re expected and sometimes mom’s late term exhaustion gets the better of her. It’s always ok to switch your date!

  • If we’re shooting outside, we want to utilize the most falttering light (early morning or late afternoon). If we’re shootig at home, our timing is more flexible.

  • Using the BOOK NOW button to the left, you will book your maternity session by choosing your preferred date and time. Once scheduled, I send you a booking form with a request for your deposit and an additional calendar for booking your newborn session. It’s always fine to wait and schedule your newborn session date after baby arrives.

  • I tell families it will take 1-2 weeks but about 95% of the time, I’m able to get your images to you within 1 week. All the images in your gallery will be lovingly edited to enhance color, light, shadow, and skin tones.

  • Locations farther than 20 miles from central Berkeley will be charged a travel fee.

  • Travel fees are based on round-trip mileage from Berkeley, calculated at $1/mile + tolls.
